Lakes of Leisure

I love the unique stillness of lakes, the hidden nooks and crannies. They are less showy than oceans and more intimate than rivers. They gather light, cradle reflections, and invite quiet joys: a slow paddle, a deep breath, a swim without urgency. Some of my favorite memories are of quiet mornings paddling a canoe

There’s a particular feeling that comes over you when you travel—a softening, an expansion, a sense of spacious presence. You’re not rushing. You’re noticing. A Journey with Jane

I fell in love with Jane Austen when I was 17 with the first turning of the pages of Pride & Prejudice. Whether you’re seeking the iconic party scene or serene luxury by the sea, there’s a beach club in Saint-Tropez perfectly suited to your mood. But before we […]

The French Open is in full swing, and with it, a powerful reminder: the world’s most iconic sporting events are more than competitions—they’re cultural moments, magnets for the stylish and spirited, and a call to explore the world in a unique way.

Solo travel is on the rise — particularly among women over 40 — and yet the pricing structure remains outdated – infuriatingly so. Many solo travelers are seasoned, discerning, and willing to invest in premium experiences. It’s time the travel industry recognized its value.

For nearly four decades, I’ve walked the storied streets of Washington, D.C., delving into its archives, uncovering its hidden narratives, and cherishing its most profound secrets. Now, I’m thrilled to unveil DC Capital Chronicles, my new offering of curated, immersive tours designed for those who seek to move beyond the ordinary and truly experience the […]

Some experiences aren’t just events; they’re the heartbeat of a place, even the heartbeat of a lifetime. And for me, that’s the Palio di Siena.
